My Story
Jen Luna, Vice President of Sales, Ticor Title
I was twenty-two, sitting at a corporate desk doing competitive analysis, when I knew exactly what I wanted. I watched the top sales professionals around me and decided I would be one of them. Title gave me that chance, and it has changed my life in the most beautiful ways.
This is not an easy business, and that is part of why I love it. I believe hard work always, always pays off, and this work has proven it to me year after year. It still asks me to grow, and it gives me a sense of purpose I am grateful for every day. There is no way not to be romantic about having the greatest job in the world.
But the best thing title ever gave me is people. I love hearing their stories, and I often joke that out in the field I feel like a bartender, because someone is always telling me theirs. The agents, brokers, lenders and commercial clients I serve are some of the hardest-working people I know. You carry your clients’ biggest decisions on your shoulders, and I have enormous respect for that. People say it is just business. To me it has always been personal, and I would not have it any other way.
So I do this work the way I would want it done for me. I do not wait to be asked what I can do for you. I come to you with what I have, show you what it can look like, and hand it over. I believe in giving more than what was asked of me, and then wrapping it in a bow. It is why every preliminary report comes back to you with a summary in plain English, and why you will hear from me with an idea before you think to ask for one.
And when a deal gets hard, that is when I am at my best. When your call comes in, the first thing you will hear is this: take a deep breath. It will be okay. We will figure it out. And we always do. One longtime client said it better than I can: “You persist until the answer is found.”
I love to share what I know. You will find me teaching my Title & Farming Classes in offices and on Zoom, and once a month I write Title Talk with Jen, the newsletter I put my whole heart into.
My work has been recognized with top sales honors over the years, and I am grateful for every one. The recognition I treasure most comes from the agents themselves, in words like “in a league of her own” and “a true partner, advocate, and friend.”
Ask me what I am proudest of and I will not name anything in title. My greatest accomplishment is being Easton’s mom. He competed at the highest level of college baseball, and he brings that same drive to everything he does. He works hard, he believes in himself, and he does not quit. I admire him, and I hold myself to the same standard.
Home is Newbury Park, with my husband, Scott, and our French Bulldogs, Hank and Lou. My dream is a piece of land with a sunset view and a Frenchie ranch, with little Frenchies running everywhere. Until then, you will usually find me on a trail as the sun goes down, grateful for this life, this work and the people who trust me with their business.
Heart and hustle, in equal measure. I will always find a way to add more to your business than you asked for. That is my promise, and I would love the chance to keep it for you.
